Background
"In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minute. - Andy Warhol." Stockholm is your Canvas was an initiative for Stockholm Art Week allowing visitors to submit their art and have it displayed on a digital billboard in Stureplan, Stockholm.
Idea
Visitors to the site simply uploaded their picture or video, selected a 30 second time slot during the festival — which began April 1st and runs until April 6th — and their art was displayed on the impressive digital billboard passed by over 450,000 people a day.
Results
The time slots for "Stockholm is your Canvas" sold out in only two days. People from around the world uploaded a total of 552 art pieces. Among those renowned artists Ruvan Wijesooriya, Clara Hallencreutz and rockband BatAAr. ??The initiative was also picked up by lots of blogs, news and most important – visitors to the Stockholm Art Week.
